2025 NFL Draft: A Recap

By Donovan Clark

Every year right before every single NFL season all the senior college players that ball out and think they are NFL ready go into a draft. The draft is a three day event and every player's dream is to get picked in the first round but those 32 spots only go to the best 32 players. The second round isn't always that bad either. Then at the very end of every draft the last pick, pick number 257. Mr. Irrelevant.

At the number one pick of the 2025 draft the Tennessee Titans selected Miami Quarterback Cam Ward. Cam Ward was an absolute unit in college. Throughout his whole career in college he put up 18,189 yards and 158 passing touchdowns. He was the most interesting person to watch in my opinion. He was playing at his own pace whenever he wanted to. He also let nothing faze him.

With the number 2 pick the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter won the 2024 Heisman and the 2024 big 12 DPOY (defensive player of the year) award for college. He played both sides of the ball defense and offense. He played Wide Receiver and Cornerback. He was unstoppable; he put up 1979 receiving yards with 20 touchdowns and on the other side of the ball he had 7 interceptions at Colorado.

The New York Giants are bringing in an absolute beast with their first round draft pick, because with the number three pick the Giants select Abdul Carter out of Penn State. Abdul Carter is six foot three 250 lbs. He plays defensive line and he makes the O-line fear him. In his three years at Penn Stats he had 23 sacks 41 tackles for loss (TFL) 1 Interception and 5 forced fumbles.  Abdul Carter said this after being drafted “Yeah, I'm just trying to be a dominant player. Just got to put the work in, trust my coaching, trust my teammates, make sure my teammates trust me, and then there is no limit on who I can be.”
