I think, or I hope, we’ve all seen Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. And I KNOW anyone that has seen it, has loved Alvin's sophisticated white suit. Well, as the headline suggests, Ryan Gosling thought it would be okay  to copy this iconic look in the 2017 Golden Globes awards show. From the fitted white vest to the red boutonniere, fully replicated.

When you look at the similarities, it's a shameless copy. The only difference is that Alvin cannot wear pants, and Alvin's hair is more voluminous. At an award show for film arts, this is a distinct sign of uncreativity and unoriginality. It is truly sad to see the entertainment industry watering down others styles just because some people cannot come up with their own ideas.

Ryan Gosling should have come out about this and apologized to Alvin the Chipmunk for stealing his original design. Instead, we've gotten nothing but silence since this incident 9 years ago, when Gosling should have been addressing the issue. He has stolen the spotlight from the person who actually deserved it and that is very disheartening to see.

I hope one day Ryan Gosling comes out about this in respect of his career and Alvin the Chipmunk, this could put a strain on his relationship with Alvin, though. This reflects on Gosling’s appearance as an actor, showing a lack of creativity in an arts career. Personally, I believe that he is lucky to not have gotten repercussions yet, because Alvin is a force to be reckoned with, and what he did was really genuinely disrespectful to Alvin and the people responsible for designing Alvin's outfit in the Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked movie.
