Easy Thanksgiving recipes to satiate your hunger pains

It’s finally November and time to get prepared for Thanksgiving. Even if you don't consider yourself a pro in the kitchen, the best way to show your love is through good food! Here are three simple recipes anyone can make for this holiday season!


Oven baked, 3 cheese, Mac and cheese

  • 1 lb of macaroni

  • 6 tablespoons butter

  • 6 tablespoons flour

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 2 ½ cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 cups shredded gruyere

  • 1 cup shredded gouda

Preheat oven to 325 F .


In a large pot, melt butter in a pot on medium heat and add flour. Mix consistently for 2 minutes then add milk and heavy cream in small portions and continue stirring. Let it heat up and thicken, continue to stir for 5 minutes. Add the seasoning and the hot sauce and remove from heat. Gradually stir in about 4 cups of the shredded cheeses until smooth and start to boil the macaroni noodles during this time.


Combine drained, cooked noodles and cheese sauce and add it into a greased, 9x13 inch casserole dish. Top with the remaining shredded cheese and bake for 25 minutes. Broil at the end for 10 minutes or top with cracker crumbles if desired and then you’re done!


Deviled eggs

  • 6 eggs

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • Smoked paprika for garnish

Put a single layer of eggs in a saucepan cover with enough water so there is 1 ½ inches of water above the eggs. Turn on high heat until it boils, then cover the, turn heat down to low and let cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and leave covered for about 14 minutes. Rinse the eggs with cool water for another minute. After the eggs cool, crack the shells and carefully peel them off under cold water

Gently dry eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolk and put them in a medium bowl and try to keep the egg whites intact and put them aside. Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper and mash together with a fork.


Attempt to evenly separate the yolk mixture into the egg whites, sprinkle on some paprika and you’re done!


Pecan pie

  • 1 egg yolk slightly beaten

  • 3 eggs

  • ¾ cups sugar

  • ¾ cup light corn syrup

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup pecan halves

  • Pie crust

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup cream cheese

  • 1 cup butter

Cream together one cube of butter and one block of cream cheese, one cup of flour mix in a stand mixer till a ball forms or knead by hand till a ball forms. Form into a ‘puck-like’ shape and wrap in cling wrap and place in the fridge for 1 hour or so. Use a rolling pin and floured surface to roll out dough to match the size of your pie pan. Shape the dough into your pie pan and lightly press your crust with fork prongs.


Preheat oven to 325 F


Stir together the eggs, sugar, light corn syrup, vanilla extract, and butter. Cut pecans in half if necessary, Place pecan halves on the pie crust and pour in the egg mixture. Bake for about 1 hour or until the knife comes out clean. Let cool and you're done!!
