Twitch Streamer Hasan Piker uses “Shock Collar” on his Dog While Streaming

Hasan Piker, a prominent Twitch streamer with 3 million followers is amidst a controversy regarding his dog (Kaya). On October 7, 2025, Hasan was accused of using a shock collar on Kaya while he was streaming. In the video clip, he is seen moving his hand to the side of the screen while his dog gets up from its mat, and as the dog walks away, it yelps and goes back to its mat.

Over the past week since the incident, numerous YouTubers and content creators have talked about what happened with Kaya and the general public isn’t happy about what they’ve seen. Hasan responded to the controversy, stating that Kaya, "clipped her foot on something" The situation split the online community, with people either defending Hasan or against him for what they accused.

In the midst of the situation, people have been making memes about the shock collar incident, with most memes having gone viral. All of the memes are targeted at Hasan for calling him out on the “abuse.”  One of the memes portrays Hasan as the “God of Thunder” with an image of Kaya being struck with a lightning bolt.

Over the past week, Hasan has continued to address the situation stating that the collar can only vibrate, "it has the capacity to vibrate and that's it." Some people speculate that Hasan lied about the collar because in the video clip where he showed the collar, there was “black tape” covering the prongs. Other skeptics have made images showing a shock collar on Amazon next to the image of Hasan holding the collar that was on Kaya.

Overall, the situation has amassed a lot of different opinions on Hasan and his actions. Other Twitch streamers have made videos responding to the video clip of Hasan “Shocking” his dog and they have accumulated millions of views from the controversy. I think that Hasan shouldn’t say anything else about the situation so he doesn’t further damage his reputation…but that is just my opinion.
