March 23, at 8:00 Hidden Valley Lake hosts their Annual Little League Parade.

This parade is hosted every year and is Little leagues favorite tradition. The purpose of the parade is to kick off the start of the season for all teams. All the players line up with their teams on the Coyote Valley black top to get ready to walk down Hartman road. y walk down the street with family cheering and yell for them and more people wait at Hartman Park to kick off the season with a ceremony on the Little League Baseball field.

While they wait to start walking we got an interview with Dawson Campbell and have been in the parade for 5 to 6 years.

He has this to say about the parade,

“I honestly like the walk, it’s really fun. I like it for exercise."

We also got to talk to the Tigers teams, one of the girls softball teams. They have all been playing between 1-5 years and really enjoy the parade. It is a chance to bond as a team and it is nice to get together as a community and feel the support from those watching.

As seen, the parade is so impacting and truly an amazing experience for children to go through.

The kids walked with beaming smiles at their friends and family who cheered for them on the sides. They got to Hartman park and stood listening to the beautiful voices of Naveah Wienke and Grace Williams who sang the national anthem. Then with the rest of the ceremony finished the season has now officially started and the kids are truly happy to finally be able to play after weeks of practice.

After the ceremony it also brings exciting events meant to raise money for the league. There is a 50/50 raffle, a snack shack, and even a bouncy house for families to enjoy.

At the end we also got an interview with a parent Heather Ochs who has seen her kids participate in the parade for many years and had this to say...

“I really like how it brings the whole community together. It gives everyone a chance to celebrate all the teams and all the players and let everyone participate all together, it’s really team building for everyone.”

The Parade is truly a beautiful tradition and brings so much joy to the start of the season. So with the season now started, remember to wish our teams good luck and cheer them on at their games whenever you can.
