Fallout Season 2 is just on the horizon, along with season 3

With the great success of the first season of Fallout, it's no doubt they were going to make a second season soon. Released on April 10th, 2024 on Amazon Prime, it garnered great success. Over 65 million people watched it within just 16 days, and they now have over 100 million views, earning 74 nominations and winning 13 awards total. It was funny, it was fun, it had that charm that the fallout games have. Since then, we’ve been patiently waiting, and after hearing about leaks and photos, it was announced that season two of Fallout had finished recording just on May 7th. So, when will the next season come out?
Fallout Season 2
Just last week on the 8th, Amazon during their Amazon Upfront 2025, along with Walton Goggins in an instagram post announcing that filming for season 2 had been completed, and even gave us a peak at when season 2 will be released. “Following its record-breaking success, Fallout will return for Season 2 in December 2025, introducing viewers to the wasteland of New Vegas.” (Amazon, 2025).
Honestly, who would’ve expected it to come out this year? And during the holiday season, fans will be in the nuclear winter mood during this mojave adventure. Though they haven’t said much, it’s going to continue from the fallout season 1 finale, chasing down Lucy Mclean's father through the mojave wasteland, traveling to the sparkling New Vegas, a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.
For now, the only new actor that’s been announced to be appearing in the new season of fallout will be Macaulay Culkin, the kid from the original Home Alone. He was announced to have been a part of the cast back in November of last year, and supposedly will have a recurring role. So far, they haven't announced his role though, we'll have to wait until season 2 comes out to find that out.
Fallout Season 3 Confirmed
With all the excitement around season 2, there’s also lots for season 3. Amazon announced, along with season 2, that they renewed Fallout for a 3rd season. And they haven’t even released season 2 yet, which is coming out in just 7 months. Even if nobody has a clue on what season 3 will be, it’s quite comforting to know that we are guaranteed to have another season of jokes and fun with the Fallout show after season 3 releases.
I personally can’t wait for Season 2 of Fallout. With it set in the game world of Fallout New Vegas, i'm excited to watch and find references and teases at the original game, and because it’s set only 15 years after the events of Fallout: New Vegas, maybe we’ll even see some characters from the game in the new season, alongside Lucy and the Ghoul. Until then, I’m sure all of us cannot wait for the winter season for the next season of Fallout.
