Invincible has been on a very good run since the debut of its first, second, and third animated seasons. When can we expect to see season 4?
The Previous Seasons and Their Hiccups

The latest season of invincible was without a doubt the best we have seen of the animated series so far, with the finale earning a perfect score of 10/10 on IMDB shortly after its release. This makes it one of the only TV episodes in the world to achieve such a rating, with the other being Breaking Bad's “Ozymandias”.
The animators for invincible season 3 definitely had their work cut out for them this time, with many fans claiming that they doubted that this season would live up to the expectations the original comics set. But the animators delivered that and much more, all within their specified release date.

After the amazing season 3, fans are left wondering when they will see more of the Invincible universe. Since, the first season of Invincible wasn’t envisioned to perform as well as it did, this led to the second season being green lit. Unfortunately season 2 wouldn’t come out for another two years after the release of season 1. Sources say that this was because of various factors, including the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the animators, as well as them having to pretty much rebuild and reset the “factory” of the show.
When season 2 did finally release however, the studio chose to release the first four episodes in accordance to their weekly release schedule, but then peculiarly chose to wait another SIX whole months to release the other four episodes of the season. This decision, as you could imagine, left fans of the series furious. People exclaimed that the split in the middle of the season threw off pacing and just negatively impacted the entire release of the season as a whole.
Thankfully, Robert Kirkman, the original creator of the comics, came out with his opinion on the issue. "I’ve certainly heard from people who didn’t care for it. I understand that when you’re enjoying a thing and it gets taken away and given back to you at a later date — not the best," He told Variety.

What’s Next for the Show
Thankfully in the teaser released before season three officially aired, two characters are seen talking to each other, where one of them says that they, “Didn’t appreciate the break in the middle of the season” and that it won’t happen again, pretty much the studios way of telling us they’re sorry and we can expect to see full seasons released together and on time.
It should be safe to say that the creators of the show have learned from their mistakes and have locked in for the rest of seasons, because if all the newer seasons are released and animated as season 3, we should be fine. On top of that, Robert Kirkman and the animators at MGM studios have set a clear goal to release a season every year, with a scheduled eight seasons in total. Now unfortunately, all there is to do is wait.
