Disney's most known easter eggs you probably never knew

Staff writer: Sue Green

Editor: Dakotta Hargrave

There are so many unseen easter eggs in movies and tv shows. Easter eggs are nods to other movies, shows, games, people and more hidden within the movies and shows.

The Walt Disney company is notorious for putting easter eggs in their movies. Disney’s The Little Mermaid has one easter egg that really stood out to me: Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck show up.

While watching The Princess and the Frog you may notice a familiar carpet. It's the magic carpet from Aladdin. Similarly Jack Skellington can be seen as one of Dr. Facilier’s “friends on the other side.”

Dakotta asked her mother, Deylean Hargrave, what her favorite Disney easter egg was and this was her response. “I like how in cars no one saw that the Monsters inc characters were in the movie.”

During Maui’s song you're welcome Flounder can be spotted. He is one of the fish swimming in the “sea”

A stuffed animal version of Dumbo can be seen in Lilo’s room in Lilo and Stitch. Another beloved character appears in Lilo and Stitch. There is a Mulan poster hung in Lilo’s sister Nani’s room.

In Tarzan Miss. Potts and Chip are seen in Jane's camp, when the animals are rummaging through her stuff.

Rapunzel is in attendance at Elsa’s coronation. She and Eugene can be seen walking into the coronation and again while it's happening.

There is an appearance of a vicious lion villain in Disney's Hercules. Scar’s pelt is seen on Hercules when he’s posing for the painting.

Stitch makes appearances in many movies but the ones that stood out to me the most was in Treasure Planet. He’s shown sitting on a shelf in young Jim Hawkins bedroom.  As well as in a picture on the wall in Big Hero Six.
